This past spring, Marcia Miller decided that her immediate family should wait out the pandemic to see her, for the safety of the family.
Within 24 hours she was so unwell that her manager (because of course she still went to work) insisted she rush to the ER and her Daughter & Son-in-Law rushed to her side to care for her over the next several months so that she would not spend any time alone after she was diagnosed with what turned out to be Stage 4 Metastatic Bladder Cancer.
she fought the disease, bravely, in every way she could. Her Daughter and Son-in-Law feel very lucky to have had these past few months together, to live every day like the last, and say goodbye slowly.
She spent her last days very comfortably, in her own bedroom, with plenty of morphine and jazz and showtunes, surrounded by her Daughter Erica Thomas and Son-in-Law DaShan Thomas and Lore the Cat. Wednesday morning, Jan 6, 2021, she died without suffering.
